After finding a hollow tree, Achok said, “Cousin, when collecting wild honey, you must be tied to the tree to be stung. Unless one is tied, we can’t collect the honey.”
So he tied him to the tree and ran away, and Lerro was badly stung and cried and cried and no one helped him. At last a stranger came and untied him, and Lerro fell down and out of the tree.
When he fell, he went home and found Achok, and said angrily, “Did you collect the honey? Is it true that unless someone’s tied to the tree the honey can’t be collected? Why did you say that? Why didn’t you go and collect it?”
Achok refused to go and collect it.
አቾክና ሌሮ ማር በመሰብሰብ ላይ
በቻሜ ክዌር የተተረከ
አንድ ግንዱ የተቦረቦረ ዛፍ ካገኙ በኋላ አቾክ “የአክስቴ ልጅ ሆይ! የጫካ ማር ስትሰበስብ ንቡ እንዲነድፍህ ከዛፉ ጋር መታሰር አለብህ አንድ ሰው ካልታሰረ ማር መሰብሰብ አይቻልም፡፡” አለው፡፡
ይህንንም ካለ በኋላ ዛፉ ላይ አስሮት ጥሎት ሮጠ፡፡ ሌሮም በንቦቹ ክፉኛ ስለተነዳደፈ አከታትሎ ቢጮህም የሚደርስለት ሰው አልነበረም፡፡ በመጨረሻም አንድ እንግዳ ሰው መጥቶ ሲፈታው ሌሮ ከዛፉ ላይ ወደቀ፡፡
ከዚያም ወደ ቤት ሄዶ አቾክን ሲያገኘው በንዴት “ማሩን ሰበሰብክ? አንድ ሰው ከዛፉ ላይ ካልታሰረ ማር መሰብሰብ አይቻልም ያልከውስ እውነት ነው? ለምን እንደዚያ አልክ? ዝም ብለህ ሄደህ ለምን አልሰበሰብክም?” ብሎ ጠየቀው፡፡
አቾክም ሄዶ ማሩን ለመሰብሰብ ፈቃደኛ ሳይሆን ቀረ፡፡
