There was a herdsman and he usually takes the cattle to the river and makes them drink, but actually he never lets them drink. The owner of the cattle sees the cattle are not well and is suspicious. So he went with them one day and the cattle were mad with thirst and drank abnormally and they died from drinking too much.
The man beat the herdsman and he said:
“Wild fruit, wild fruit,
I was searching for you,
And every night I was beaten
Because of this.”
And finally the owner beat him to death.

ተራኪው የማይታወቅ
አንድ እረኛ ሁልጊዜ ከብቶቹን ወደ ወንዙ ውሃ ሊያጠጣቸው ቢሄድም በፍጹም እንዲጠጡ አድርጎ አያውቅም፡፡ የክብቶቹም ባለቤት ከብቶቹን ሲያያቸው ደህና ስላልመሰሉት መጠራጠር ጀመረ፡፡ እናም ከእለታት አንድ ቀን ባለቤቱ ከከብቶቹ ጋር ሲሄድ ከብቶቹ በውሃ ጥም አብደው ስለነበር ያለልክ ስለጠጡ ውሃው በዝቶባቸው ሞቱ፡፡
ሰውየውም እረኛውን ሲገርፈው እረኛው በግጥም እንዲህ አለ፤
“የዱር ፍሬ፣ የዱር ፍሬ
እየፈለኩሽ ነበር
ሁልጊዜ ማታ ማታ በዚህ ምክንያት እገረፍ ነበር፡፡”
በመጨረሻም የከብቶቹ ባለቤት እረኛውን ደብድቦ ገደለው፡፡
